As you step into the cottage, you’re greeted by the inviting dining room, featuring a spacious table, perfect for family meals. Venture further into the cosy living room, where impressive coastal views await. The living room benefits from a large comfortable sofa bed, which can be used as additional sleeping (on request). Step through the bifold doors onto the fully enclosed patio, where you’ll find your perfect place to sit back and bask in the breathtaking coastal scenery. The charming ‘country style’ kitchen, located on the ground floor, is equipped with all the essentials for preparing delightful meals, whether indoors or al fresco on the patio. A family bathroom, complete with a thermostatic shower over the bath, ensures convenience and comfort. Ascend the steep stairs to the first floor, where two double bedrooms await. The rear bedroom features a cosy window seat and picture window, offering wonderful views of the estuary to wake up to. Dining room: Dining table and 4 chairs that provides a nice setting to enjoy an evening meal.
Living room/ Kitchen: Bright and spacious room with large comfortable sofa, electric fire and a Smart TV. The sofa is a sofa bed, that provides additional sleeping for 1 person (upon request). Bi-fold doors lead out on the patio garden with impressive estuary views.
Kitchen: Well equipped, ‘country style’ fitted kitchen with: electric cooker, 5 ring gas hob, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, integrated fridge with ice box and variety of kitchen utensils.
Bathroom: Bath with thermostatic shower over, wash basin and WC.
Understairs cupboard: Housing washing machine
Bedroom 1 (first floor): Double bedroom with hanging rail for clothes, underbed storage drawers and window seat with coastal views.
Bedroom 2 (first floor) : Double bedroom with underbed storage drawers.
Garden: A secured, patio garden with impressive, direct estuary views.
Parking: On street parking is available a short walk from the property, either along the road near the property or the road running parallel. There is a public car park around 500 metres away at the far end of Irsha Street – subject to availability, charges apply.
Pets: 2 dogs accepted
Facilities and Services: Linen and towels provided. Gas CH. No Smoking. Maximum of 5 people permitted (additional person using the sofa bed). 2 dogs allowed. Wi-Fi Broadband. Patio furniture. Short breaks available on Mon- Fri, Fri – Mon basis. Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Friday.
Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £150, which is payable with the final balance of your holiday, ten weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 7 working days of your departure

“Fabulous holiday in Hideaway Cottage. This pretty little cottage is in a great quiet location, with easy walking access to Appledore. It is small but so well fitted out to make the most of the space. The bedrooms have plenty of space, just the right amount of storage for us, and the beds were very comfortable. We slept really well there. The view from the back bedroom was wonderful to wake up to. The kitchen was tiny but well equipped and the little breakfast bar was great as an extra food preparation space, serving hatch to the lounge and could just fit two of us to eat, with the view in front of us. The lounge was comfortable but the best feature of the cottage was the garden and view. Fabulous to be able to see it from the whole lounge, and to be able to open the doors and mix the inside and outside. The garden is so beautifully designed, with attractive planting and furniture and a lovely space to eat outdoors, or to sit on the benches at the end and make the most of the view. The lighting at night makes it even more special. The view changed with the light and the weather and the tide and activity of the boats and was always wonderful, and it felt amazingly quiet and peaceful.”

“Sea views and a sea side garden made this a perfect weekend retreat for two. With the help of the extensive digital information the house was easy to find and perfectly presented. Discovering a full cream tea package in the fridge was a wonderful surprise. As someone who likes to cook I was pleased to find a kitchen with plenty of cooking utensils to rustle up a birthday dinner. We enjoyed using the garden seating area to make the most of the sunny spells and watch the world go by. Parking is at an absolute premium so be prepared to practice your parallel parking, but everything in Appledore is just a short walk away, which means you can forget about your car. The Royal George, 5 minutes away, does delicious food, particularly if you’re after a hearty roast.”
