Dog friendly places in North Devon
North Devon is well prepared for visitors with dogs. Between October and May, most of the local beaches are fully dog friendly, and even in the summer season, there are plenty of options where they are welcome to join you for a splash in the sea – our Woolacombe, Saunton and Instow holiday cottages being some of the most popular for doggy days out. In fact, Instow is so popular with the pooches, you can even get a doggy ice cream from the popular Johns Café Beach Hut, located just a stone’s throw from the beach.
For those more energetic dogs, all year round there is miles of the spectacular South West Coast Path to explore with your four-legged friends. Further inland you can stroll along the Tarka Trail, stopping along the way at some of North Devon’s many dog-friendly eateries. Such as The Waterside Coffee House and Fremington Quay Café.
Alternatively, if you want somewhere a little more secluded then take a trip up to Exmoor to take in the breathtaking scenery with a picnic. Be sure to check out our blog for further ideas of places to go.
