Sanfield House is set in an enviable position, surrounded by the glorious North Devon countryside. It benefits from sea views of Saunton Sands, one of the area’s superb surfing beaches. The vast garden, mostly lawned, is ideal for relaxing or for children to enjoy ball games and burning off excess energy! This pet friendly property also has a designated, enclosed section of the garden for dogs. Situated in the quiet hamlet of Lobb, it is within easy reach of the vibrant village of Braunton, which offers an array of independent shops, cafes, restaurants, and pubs. It is also just 1 mile from the picture-perfect beach at Saunton Sands, a family friendly beach, which is great for those learning to surf.

The property has been refurbished in 2026, and boasts 4 bedrooms, accommodating up to 8 guests (6 adults and 2 children). There is ample private driveway parking right outside the house. A useful porch from the driveway leads into the property. The hallway leads to an open plan living room and kitchen, which acts as a great room for relaxing and entertaining.  Lovely garden views are enjoyed from the living room, which has a range of comfortable seating, TV and bi-fold doors accessing a sizeable patio area. The dining area is situated in this room, where family and friends can enjoy quality meals together. The stylish, well-equipped kitchen is light and airy and is perfect for preparing meals to savour while soaking in the relaxing coastal scenery.
On the ground floor there is a double bedroom furnished with a chest of drawers and bedside tables. There is also a shower room opposite this bedroom, with walk in shower, wash basin, toilet and a useful utility cupboard housing a washing machine and tumble dryer. The ground floor bedroom and bathroom make this property ideal for multi-generational families.

On the first floor, three additional bedrooms and a family bathroom await. The master bedroom features a king-size bed with delightful coastal views. The twin bedroom provides two single beds, and the third bedroom has bunk beds, suitable for children only. Also on the first floor is the family bathroom, which includes a shower over the bath with a shower screen, heated towel rail, toilet and washbasin.

Outside in the garden, you can enjoy the spectacular views, play games on the large lawn with the children, or open the bi-fold doors form the living room onto the large patio area, where you can enjoy an alfresco meal or a morning coffee while taking in the coastal scenery.  The property also benefits from an external shower, ideal for washing off the sea and sand after a day on the beach. There is also a separate building within the garden contains a table tennis set—perfect for a little holiday competition.

The bustling village of Braunton is only a short drive away (1 mile) and offers an array of independent shops and eateries. The magnificent sandy beach of Saunton Sands is just a 5-minute drive away, with the surfing beach at Croyde a further 5 minutes on. For those wanting a day away from the beach, Saunton Golf Club is nearby and is considered one of the leading golf courses in the UK. There are plenty of other attractions nearby, including the inspiring Exmoor National Park, Watermouth Family Theme Park and Castle (12 miles), Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park (15 miles), and Exmoor Zoo (18 miles).

Please Note: Sanfield House is having a refurbishment during the Spring of 2026.  This will add a downstairs bedroom, downstairs bathroom and open plan living area. It will also bring the overall sleeping capacity to 6 adults and 2 children.  The current photographs are before the refurbishment has taken place, so these will not show the improvements.

Bedroom 1 (Ground Floor): A comfortable double bedroom on the ground floor, furnished with bedside tables and storage. Conveniently located opposite the shower room, making it ideal for multi-generational stays.

Pets: This property is pet friendly and accepts 2 dogs.

“Enjoyed our stay at Sanfield house which is located between the nearest town Braunton and beaches, each with only 5-10 mins drive. We went to the beautiful Croyde beach for surfing every day. The house also has a large and wide garden where you can have nice sea views and walk around after meals. The pool table and ping pong table are extra bonus for some entertainment. ”
