EV-Friendly Adventures in North Devon

North Devon is exceptionally well-prepared for the modern electric traveller. While your cottage serves as your private “fuel station” overnight, the local area is packed with attractions that make exploring easy. You can enjoy a day out at the award-winning RHS Garden Rosemoor or The Milky Way Adventure Park, both of which offer on-site charging while you explore. For a coastal fix, our Woolacombe, Croyde, and Westward Ho! holiday cottages are perfectly positioned for short, scenic hops between the surf and the best local coffee spots.

For those looking to test their range against spectacular backdrops, the Atlantic Highway (A39) offers one of the UK’s most iconic drives. Head towards the “Little Switzerland” of Lynton and Lynmouth, where you’ll find public charging points in the heart of the village – perfect for a top-up while you take the famous Cliff Railway. Further inland, a cruise along the edge of Exmoor provides breathtaking scenery and plenty of quiet pull-ins for that perfect photo op.

Alternatively, if you want a day away from the wheel, park up and join the Tarka Trail. Many of the trail’s access points, such as Fremington Quay, are near local hubs where the EV infrastructure is constantly expanding. We highly recommend downloading Zapmap or ONEEV before your trip, as they provide real-time availability and user updates for public chargers across the area.

So, don’t let range anxiety hold you back! Book one of our EV-friendly North Devon cottages for your next break and enjoy the freedom of the coast with a full tank of green energy.
